Tallahassee Swing

Tallahassee Swing began in the late 1970's as a way for a group of local musicians to perform and keep alive the music of the Big Band era.  In 1989, the Band started a weekly Tuesday night dance at the American Legion. Through the years, many of the dancers have formed lasting friendships, gotten married and Tuesday nights have become an important part of their social lives.

Throughout the North Florida area and as far south as Orlando. Tallahassee Swing has performed for weddings, birthdays, bar mitzvahs, bat mitzvahs, fund raising events and concerts.  Because many of our venues are for dancers, we have increased our repertoire to include songs for all forms of ballroom and popular dances.
